Death register (Spiddal registrar, Galway union; irishgenealogy.ie cide-5381758, GRO image deaths_1914/05300/4473864): Honor Walsh died 30 March 1914 at Letterfir; female, married, 69, wife of a farmer; cause dropsy (supposed), no medical attendant. Informant: Pat Walsh (his mark), son, present at death, Letterfir. Registered 20 April 1914.
Age caution: ages in Irish death records after the 1908 Old Age Pension often run high, so her birth may be later than 1845.
Peter Walsh: a Peter Walsh, married farmer, died 15 Aug 1923 at Derrycrib(?), Spiddal district, age 67 (apoplexy; informant Jas. Clancy, son-in-law) - irishgenealogy.ie cide-3314591 / cide-3306352 (one register entry indexed twice, ages 67 and 85). Not yet proven to be Honor's husband.
WARNING about the Ancestry tree: it gives Peter b.1859 but a marriage to Honor on 23 Nov 1865 with children from 1866 - impossible; probably two Peter-and-Honor families merged. | Conneely, Nora (Honor) (I11)

DISCREPANCY: Jan P.'s Crumpler compilation gives Robert's birth as about 1843 at Lytchett Minster (son of Stephen Crumpler and Mary Jane Jeffery); this tree has about 1848 at Lytchett Matravers. Neither has been checked against the baptism register. | Crumpler, Robert (I1429)
|

DISCREPANCY: this tree gives her birth as 4 Apr 1891. Jan P.'s Crumpler compilation gives 1874 at Organford. Her parents Samuel Thomas Crumpler and Tabitha Dorcas Burbidge married on 26 Aug 1874, so either is possible; she married Harry Seward Ridges in 1908, which fits 1891 better (aged about 17) than 1874 (about 34). Kept as 1891 until the birth registration is checked. | Crumpler, Violet Daisy Matilda (I0810)

E-mail from Enid Bushby dated 14 Aug 2009:
"I went up to the Whitehaven record office earlier this week with our nephew. We found a book recording the 'monuments' from St. Bees cemetery that had been removed when the area was grassed over to make the graveyard easier to maintain. Looking through the booklet I found an entry relating to the Bushby family. It had been added in on a separate page, indicating, possibly, that it had been difficult to read or that it was found after the bulk of the monuments were catalogued. It was number 32 and a gap was left in the chronological order indicating that it was missing at the time of writing.
At the top of the inserted page was written LATIN which one of the staff in the office thought could have indicated that there had been an inscription in Latin that was indecipherable.
Underneath this was:-
James Busby died June 9th 1844 age 47. (Bolding is mine indicating different spelling )
Jane the wife of the above died Jan. 2nd 1875 age 71
Also John their son died Sept 4th 1863 age 28
